About us
What Digital Camera is a platform for bringing together news, information, buying advice and how-to articles to help photographers choose the right equipment for their needs and then learn how to get the most out of it. The team behind the title is made up of photographers and writers with extensive knowledge of photographic technology, who can all deliver advice formed from first-hand experience and well-rounded, balanced opinions. Our readers come first, and all that we do is in their service. We all know that it only takes one bit of poor advice for a reader to turn away, so we strive for clarity, honesty and thoroughness.
What Digital Camera began life as a printed magazine in August 2003 under the renowned magazine publisher IPC Media situated in London’s Kings Reach Tower on the Southbank of the Thames. The magazine was the first in the world to cover digital photography exclusively and even when it began publishing online in 2005 it was one of only a handful of websites dedicated to digital cameras. The title moved with the company a few hundred yards down the river to The Blue Fin Building after IPC was bought by Time Inc, and is now published by London-based Candr Media Group Limited alongside stable mates Trusted Reviews, The Ambient and Recombu.
